A 29cm hand painted ceramic plate with an elegant calligraphic "nastaliq" design in white letters on a rough turquoise background and decorated with "islimi" or arabesques in gold and red. The Persian text is a poem by Rumi that coincides with Gazal No. 2,219 of his work The Divan of Shams and reads as follows: "I am the servant of the moon, do not speak to me of anything but her." (This alludes to the fact that he thinks only about love and does not want anyone to distract him from his thoughts.) Shams-i Tabrizi was a Persian Sufi dervish whom she met in Konya (present-day Turkey) and who would become her spiritual teacher.

This work was written after his disappearance and is dedicated to him; in it he laments his loss and showers him with praise in a profound and unique philosophical style typical of Rumi and which consists of more than 40,000 verses and 3,000 ghazals, a form of poetic expression that shows the pain of separation at the same time as the beauty of the love that causes it.

This style of calligraphy is used especially in poetic literature or with a decorative aspect in advertisements, titles and works of art written or painted by hand. Mir Ali Tabrizi, originally from Tabriz, was the creator of this beautiful form of artistic expression in the 14th century.
