25 cm ceramic plate hand painted with an original "nastaliq" calligraphy design in white letters on a dark blue background and turquoise frame with a beautiful "tazhib" decoration, the precious art of illumination. The pointillism technique with acrylic paint has been used on the gold and white edges of the drawings, giving the whole a certain feeling of three-dimensionality.
The Persian text is a poem by Hafez that coincides with Gazal No. 474 of his work The Divan of Hafez and reads as follows: “I am fond of you, my love, and I know that you know. That you can see the hidden as well as read the unwritten.”
The beautiful style of calligraphy "Nastaliq" is used especially in poetic literature or with a decorative aspect in advertisements, titles and hand-written or painted works of art. Mir Ali Tabrizi, originally from Tabriz, was the creator of this beautiful form of artistic expression in the 14th century.
