42 x 20 cm handmade ceramic font decorated with an elegant and intricate design of golden "Nastaliq calligraphy patterns" in Persian language standing out against a deep dark blue background and two lovely gold-plated birds on one side. This style of calligraphy is especially used in poetic literature or with a decorative aspect in advertisements, titles and hand-written or painted artworks. Mir Ali Tabrizi, originally from Tabriz, was the creator of this beautiful form of artistic expression in the 14th century.
The Farsi text reads: “The beautiful spring has arrived and the messenger of love has arrived. We are intoxicated, in love and restless.”
