A 46 cm round wooden mirror with 16 points, hand-crafted and hand-painted, combining several traditional arts in a single piece: on the one hand, the frame features miniature enamelled painting with relief, alternating bright and colourful designs using the traditional Persian technique of "gol o morgh" (flowers and birds), and on the other, the laborious technique of "khatam kari" (marquetry) on the edges and on the entire band around the figures.
In this famous design the protagonists resemble two lovers in the middle of a romantic argument where the bird is in love and the flower is its lover; such romantic arguments have been mentioned very often in Persian literature.
