Wooden mirror with a luxurious frame hand painted with the Persian art of "tazhib", enamelled and finished with marquetry or "khatam kari".

Rectangular wooden mirror measuring 29 x 23.5 cm, hand-crafted and hand-painted, elegantly combining several traditional arts: on the one hand, the frame is painted with enamelled miniature paint with beautiful geometric-floral designs created using the delicate technique of illumination or "tazhib", in which the golden colour takes centre stage. The edges are decorated with the elaborate "khatam kari" (marquetry) technique, which gives the whole a special shine and an exquisite finish.
