Silk crepe tie with an original miniature design depicting a battle, inspired by the famous Persian epic poem written in the 10th century by Ferdowsi: the Shahnameh or “Book of Kings”, which tells the story of the country from ancient times to the time of the Islamic conquest. This masterpiece of literature is entirely written in Farsi, which is why it is considered the saviour of the language, as it has allowed it to be preserved to this day, as well as the Persian identity and many of its traditions against the Arab invaders.
